Meditation & Breathwork

Most of us know breathwork and meditation are good for us.

Fewer of us know what to actually do with a student who's anxious, a room that's flat, or a mind that won't settle.

This course gives you that. My friend Michael James Wong, founder of Just Breathe, teaches breath and meditation as practical, very human tools: the kind you can reach for on a hard Tuesday, then bring into a room full of students.

You'll learn his NSRT method (Nervous System Response Techniques), a clear way to choose and sequence practices on purpose, so they calm, focus, ground, or energize the people in front of you.

Meditation & Breathwork Includes:

  • Three Parts, each with a recorded live session, a breath method, and a meditation style

  • The Breathwork Library: more than 35 techniques on video, each with a written card covering the pattern, the dose, and when to go gently

  • Eight 20-minute guided practices, plus written class plans for every one

  • Check-ins at the end of each Part, and optional Practice Teach lessons with a self-review guide for recording your own teaching

  • Downloads: the Breathwork Techniques guide, the Practice Journal, and the ABC123 Class Plans

a few important details:

  • Hours: 30, as Yoga Alliance continuing education (Michael James Wong is the lead teacher) or toward your Moved.School 300-hour, but not both

  • Format: fully online and self-paced, with nothing live to attend

  • Access: ongoing, so you can come back to any lesson whenever you need it

  • Prerequisites: none

  • Certificate: sent automatically when you complete every lesson and the three check-ins

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN:

  • The ABC Method:

    • Simple ways to vary any single breath technique, like counts, pace, gaze, touch, and effort

  • The 123 Method:

    • How to stack three techniques under one clear intention, and explain why they go together

  • ABC123:

    • Full 20-minute practices that bring both methods together, each with Michael's breakdown of how and why he built it

  • Three styles of meditation:

    • Focused Intention, Present Moment Awareness, and Being Technique, and when each one serves

  • How to teach it safely:

    • Cues, opt-outs, and who should skip or soften the stronger techniques
